Cancer is one of the most hazardous chronic disease and hence people need to be aware about chronic disease management of cancer, it is a class of disease in which a group of cells exhibit an uncontrolled growth. It affects people of all ages with an increasing probability with age. Cancer can affect any part of a human body. Most cancers can be treated and cured with proper medication measures depending upon the area affected and stage of the disease. Most situations of cancer develop a tumor except in case of leukemia. Cancer causes about 15 to 20 percentage of human death in a year. The causes of cancer can be genetic as well as environmental. At times it is caused by genetic abnormalities of transformed cells and at times it is developed in people exposed to carcinogenic materials the most common among them being tobacco smoking, chemical radiations, burning of plastic materials, infectious agents etc. cancer

Local symptoms in which there are unusual swellings and lumps produced also known as tumors, bleeding with pain and ulceration.

Spreading symptoms in which the patient experiences enlarged lymph nodes, coughing, wheezing, enlarged liver, bone pain along followed by its fracture and many other neurological symptoms.

Systematic symptoms: weight loss, lack of hunger, excessive sweating even in colder ambience etc these are due to an active cancer or hormonal disorder.

The various risk factors involving cancer are: tobacco, air pollution, chemical radiation, overweight, transmission of infection, dietary habits etc. The first and foremost thing in chronic disease management of cancer is prevention which includes steps to block the spreading and use of  above carcinogenic materials. Chemo measures are also available for prevention of cancer example tamoxifen used to control breast cancer. Other preventive measures are genetic testing and vaccination to protect from the infectious agents. Safe sexual relations also prevent the spreading of infection. Even after being affected cancer can always be cured in its early stages by many medical therapies like biologic therapy, transplantation of affected region, chemotherapy, medicines, gene therapy, hormone therapy, radiation oncology and many others. Treatments in early stages can always save the patients.
